Some RSS Feed Updates

ThistleWeb's picture

My RSS feed for the blog is finally fixed. I apologize for any inconvenience in missed posts. I am now using a Feedburner link instead of an internal Drupal one. I have yet to sort out the screencast feeds, I'm still trying to figure out Feedburner.

I noticed a while back that my blog wasn't syndicating with Linux Planet, nor with the RSS client I use called Newsbeuter. It was showing in other RSS readers, so I was baffled as to what the issue was, or how to fix it. I tried various ideas with paths to no avail. I assumed it was a bug in Drupal 7 that wasn't formatting the feed properly. My decision was to hang tight and wait for an update. That update still hasn't arrived.

I still have no idea what caused the RSS feed to work in some readers and not in others. What I do know is that I decided to switch to Feedburner. Now that the feed is functional I've resubmitted it to Linc, so I expect it'll appear back on Linux Planet in due course. I have tested the feed in Newsbeuter, it works there, it didn't before.

To the people reading this via Linux Planet, sorry for the burst of new old posts suddenly hitting your feed. Hopefully this was a one-off and shouldn't happen again.
